Project Summary: Investigating Inclusive Leadership Behaviours.
Business Issue: The Diageo Finance Leadership Team was keen to understand its leadership behaviours and the extent to which existing behaviours were inclusive or exclusive. PTI was asked by Diageo Finance to develop a clear road map to becoming an inclusive team.
PTI Action: We conducted multiple focus groups across international markets to identify different perceptions of inclusion in different countries. We defined what inclusive behaviours finance people wanted to see from their leadership teams and we identified how actual leadership behaviours compare to the desired behaviours. We then analysed the behavioural gaps and opportunities for change.
Business Result: As a result of the investigative work in local markets, Diageo and PTI were together able to build a comprehensive set of culturally-sensitive inclusive leadership behaviours into existing people development and competency frameworks. This ensured that inclusion was positioned at the heart of leadership behaviour within the Finance Leadership Team.
