Project Summary: Literature Review and Knowledge Report for NHS Scotland National Dignity at Work Project

Business Issue: PTI was commissioned by NHS Dumfries & Galloway in October 2008 to complete the first stage of NHS Scotland’s National DAW project.

PTI Action: This piece of work was to research and deliver within just 10 working days a literature review and knowledge report to inform the initial stages of the project. This work introduced the notion of widening the definition of dignity at work to include the concepts of dignified work and dignified workers producing dignified workplaces. The work also introduced a range of literature about mediation and the various types of mediation models in existence.

Business Result: The report was delivered to time, budget and quality and was met with very positive feedback from the client project team. PTI has subsequently been retained to complete further research and policy development work as part of the National Dignity at Work project.
