Business Issue: The organisation needed to understand the diversity dynamics at play within its workforce in order to design and embed its first diversity and inclusion strategy. The Bank also had a strong desire to gain insight into any potential issues within minority groups.
PTI Action: In 2005, PTI was commissioned to deploy InclusionIndex™ across all 8,000 employees of Bank of Scotland Corporate in England and Scotland. The results informed the entire diversity strategy for the organisation for 2005-2007. In 2007, BOS decided to redeploy the survey to understand the extent to which progress had been made in the action areas pinpointed during the 2005 deployment.
Business Result: The results were truly astounding, clearly showing the organisation how their hard work between interventions had made a tangible impact on various demographic groups across the workforce. BOS Corporate was able to track progress across diversity strand and for the organisation as a whole, thereby highlighting the return on the specific training and development investments made between 2005 and 2007.
