The business case for diversity in the UK is now undeniable. Organisations recognise that diversity and inclusion are imperatives, rather than optional business activities. Despite the fact that most organisations acknowledge the business drivers, many are pursuing diversity action plans that have little impact on the real issues facing them. Now for the first time, organisations have the opportunity to base inclusion interventions on evidence-based methodology that has been fully tested and academically verified. Organisations asking the right questions will get the right answers and consequently, they will base diversity and inclusion action plans upon credible intelligence that allows the measurement and evaluation of investment……therefore indicating real progress.
InclusionIndex™ is the only inclusion measurement tool that has been constructed by academics according to psychometric principles and verified by a large group of leading global professionals in the fields of Diversity, Leadership, HR and Commercial functions.
This psychometric grounding takes InclusionIndex™ beyond the limitations of many standard employee opinion surveys. The tool measures the extent to which different groups feel included or excluded by examining practices and behaviours in 10 core areas including leadership, promotion, bullying and harassment and communication.
InclusionIndex™ produces a series of reports, both for the organisation as a whole and for various demographic groups, e.g. gay, lesbian and bisexual employees, employees of any nationality, gender, ethnicity, age, and religion, level of seniority, disability and by geographical location or department/sub-department.
This allows an organisation to understand the feelings and experiences of diverse groups of employees, to identify any vulnerable or excluded groups, as well as to highlight areas of good practice. Scores can then be used to benchmark levels of inclusion, either against other industry players, or against organisations from different market sectors.
